Sports Bras: Support & Coverage

Woman with a fuller bust wearing a supportive merino sports bra

If you need a bra to hold you rather than just cover you, here is the honest version of what we make, and what we do not.

  • 95% Merino Wool
  • Zero Polyester
  • OEKO-TEX Certified
  • Non-Mulesed

01 Medium Impact Racerback Bra · Cocoa

The one built to hold

Medium Impact Racerback Bra

A thicker underbust band does the actual work, and wide racerback straps spread the load across your back instead of hanging it off your neck. Higher coverage at the sides, removable padding, and the most support we make.

02 Merino Sports Bra - Crossback · Indigo

The only one we grade to an AU 18

Merino Sports Bra - Crossback

Slim 1cm crossback straps, a V-front neckline and removable padding, so you set the coverage rather than us. Lighter support than the Racerback, and the bra most people end up wearing well past the workout.

03 Merino Sports Bra - Racerback · Caviar

The middle ground

More coverage than the Crossback, less structure than the Medium Impact. Racerback straps keep it secure through overhead movement without the wider underbust band.

Our most supportive bra

The Medium Impact Racerback is the one built for support: a thicker underbust band for stability, wide racerback straps that spread load across the back instead of pulling on the neck, and a higher coverage silhouette. Start here if the others have not felt secure enough.

The rest of the range

The Crossback is a lighter bra with slim 1cm straps, and it is the only one we grade to an AU 18. The Racerback sits between the two. All three have removable padding, so you can adjust coverage rather than being stuck with ours.

What we do not make yet

We do not currently make a high-impact bra, and we size by AU dress size rather than by cup. If you need genuine high-impact support for running or jumping, the Medium Impact Racerback is the most we offer, and we would rather you knew that here than found out on a run.

Fit notes

Our bras run slightly snug. Across our exchanges, too small is the most common reason for a swap by a wide margin, so take your usual size and size up if you are between two. A band that is too tight reads as poor support, not extra support.

Support, answered

Which bra has the most support?

The Medium Impact Racerback, because of the wider underbust band and the wider straps. In a wire-free bra, support comes mostly from the band rather than the straps, which is the part most size guides skip.

What is the largest size?

An AU 18, on the Crossback. The Medium Impact Racerback and the Racerback run to an AU 16.

Why merino for a sports bra?

A bra has the most skin contact and the least airflow of anything you train in, which is precisely where polyester performs worst: trapped heat, trapped moisture, trapped smell. Merino addresses all three at once.
