The Edit

If You Run Hot

If you overheat easily, most activewear is working against you. Polyester and nylon hold heat and moisture against the skin, so once you warm up, you stay warmed up.

01 Merino Tank - Classic (V2) · Scarlet

The most breathable thing we make

Merino Tank - Classic (V2)

Open at the arms, light through the body, and merino absorbs moisture as vapour before it becomes sweat sitting on your skin.

02 High Waisted Merino Short - 5" · Scarlet

Less fabric, more airflow

High Waisted Merino Short - 5"

The 5 inch length is the balance most people want: enough to stay put, little enough to stay cool.

03 Mid Waisted Merino Shorts – 4" · Caviar

Our shortest inseam

For when 5 inches is still too much fabric. The least we make, for the days the room is working against you.

04 Merino Sports Bra - Crossback · Scarlet

An open back, on purpose

Estroni-merino-crossback-sports-bra-scarlet-red-everday-activewear

Slim 1cm straps and a crossback, so there is very little sitting between you and the air.

05 Mid Waist 7/8 Merino Leggings · Caviar

Coverage without the length

Mid Waist 7/8 Merino Leggings

Mid waist, cropped at the ankle, and lighter than a full legging. For when you want to be covered but not warm.

Merino behaves differently. It absorbs moisture as vapour before it becomes sweat sitting on the skin, releases it into the air, and moves heat away from the body as you warm. It is the same reason the fibre is used in desert heat and alpine cold.

This is the lightest, most breathable end of the range. The pieces to reach for in an Australian summer, a heated studio, a long flight, or on any day your body is running warmer than the room.

Running hot, answered

Isn't wool a winter fabric?

Thick, coarse wool is. Ultra-fine merino knitted light is a warm-weather fabric, which is why it is standard in endurance and desert clothing. It regulates in both directions rather than only insulating.

Does it help with hot flushes or night sweats?

We are not going to make a medical claim about that. What we can tell you about the fabric is that merino moves moisture away from the skin as vapour and regulates temperature in both directions, where polyester traps heat and moisture against you. Whether that is the difference that matters for you is your call, not ours.

Can I wear it in a hot studio or a sauna?

Yes. Merino handles high heat and heavy sweat without the slick, plastic feel synthetics develop, and it will not hold the smell afterwards.

What colour runs coolest?

Lighter colourways absorb less radiant heat outdoors. Indoors it makes no practical difference, so choose on preference.
